All this based on a win turned into a draw in the last seconds of an away game that that the ref failed to do his job in and the players failed to concentrate for the last few seconds.

Were you posing that question after we battered Sunderland and Villa? I doubt it.

Try to be consistent at least.

was I posing the question...well yes I was, I said (gist) we've beaten 20th and 19th when we do it on the single digit teams...home and away, then you might have a case for your man.

as for consistent.
Me and The team both eh. That'll make two of us who have to be consistent...and of the two I'm well ahead on that count. I've always said Martinez is bang average, nothing changes my view
THAT'S consistency.

I said at 2-0 I won't be happy until we are 3-0 up, sadly proved right

So dissapointed we let a 2 goal lead dissapear, then to concede in the last kick of the game was a real body blow.
a draw feels like a defeat and in some ways it proves we are not ready to challenge the top 4 at this moment in time, we need to show more discipline and concentration.
I still believe we are building something and I feel it will take time and patience, we have scored 14 goals in 4 games which proves we have got certain areas right. Conceding in the manner we did yesterday shows we need improvements, I believe these will come with maturity of players and strengthening of the squad.
We have Boro and Palace up next, so let's hope we can get 2 wins

As ever the same people banging the same anti RM drum and pressing the panic button

...but were you always saying too that a real test would come from facing lower end of the table clubs and proving we can get the points off them?

I make that 7 out of 9 points from Sunderland, Villa and Bournemouth (the games against 'lesser lights' since we ended the tough first ten games schedule).

Let's face it, if you cant acknowledge that things have been going well this season then there's really no common rational ground here.

As for Martinez is 'average': were you saying that at the end of season one when he notched up the 72 point record PL total? That'll be a better test of your 'consistency' I reckon.

said it yesterday mate yesterday's result was just an Everton that moment. Bournemouth luck had to change at some point and it came against us, even their goalscorer said the ref said times up after we scored. They got lucky and we switched off for a second.

The villa and Sunderland games proved to me after last year at Roberto can and is getting the team to outclass poor opposition now, do it vs boro and we can start to see an improvement from the manager.

Any team with serious ambitions of mid table needs to be able to draw games like that.

Luckily, we are palying all the easy teams now according to the media.

yes we have no common ground, you know 1 thing I think another

I had my doubts early doors but gave him the benefit of the doubt and yes on the strength of the results I 'bought into' the first season.

all fine and dandy but in real terms I have no requirement, real or imagined to justify myself to you

we differ - end of

in the long term, one of us will be proved right-ish or wrong-ish when history judges the present regime

for that reason I'm out as they say - opinions and all that.

No it's not degga, it's an entrenched position out of keeping with the evidence.

Hahahahaha

Bet Martinez breathed a sign of relieve knowing he'd been given some time by Degsy

Two points chucked but although some of the culpability lies with the team and RM tactics but it was the pitch invasion which screwed it up. Could have been sitting on 23 points and moved up the table.

The fact is we are beating good and 'bad' teams; we're scoring more than any PL team other than two.

Some people will never be satisfied.

Boro will be very tough. Tougher than Bournemouth, that's for sure. That game has no favourites in it. Beat them and it'll be a huge result.
