There's a huge No To AI movement on LinkedIn at the moment. It's a very real threat to people's livelihoods unfortunately.

If we'retalking about traditional artists who paint for profit, I'not sure that's ever been a thriving career choice. Thing "starving artist". As for Illustrators, I think there will still be a place for very talented people. But does that ability need to be limited to the people who went to art school?

I’m thinking more about people who do graphic design type jobs. It’s a very popular career choice.

This isn’t aimed at you, but there’s been a lot of sneering etc. towards artists for standing up to this. Automation is coming for all of our jobs eventually. I suppose where we draw the line will determine the future.

Think there will always be a market for handmade crafts to be fair. I think for paintings etc, most people would want something with human value. It’s a niche market already.

I do graphic design and I think it's a godsend. I'm not sneering at them, but one look at history tells you that you need to adjust to technology and find ways to make it work for your career. I'm not unsympathetic but this train has left the station. Social Media campaigns aren't going to stop it.
