Andy Johnson said the fans played a massive part in the win against Portsmouth on Saturday.
Although the blues top scorer missed the game, he was sat up in the stands and enjoyed the atmosphere in the Main Stand.
AJ said “I was gutted I missed the game but the atmosphere was fantastic, the noise in the second half was incredible and it defiantly made a difference. We were dominant in the second half and it was no coincidence that our fans were brilliant too!”
“It was an interesting experience sitting in the Main Stand watching the lads, I know our supporters were great but sitting in with them was a privilege for me.”
“All the lads said it was brilliant afterwards and the gaffer commented on it and told the media that he was delighted with the fans performance. They deserve credit because it really urged us on to the finishing line.”
AJ who has been brilliant for the blues this season, left his seat to take part in the lap of honour and he loved every minute of it.
