As this is the ale house forum, I would just like to say that I shall be in the ale house from about 3.30..

Cant wait, going to have a late lunch or a early tea and a nice glass or more or the good old vino..

Gotta make the most of this sun eh, and of course my day off ha ha

TBH, I miss pub meals. I actually miss alot about the UK. It may seem crap to many living there, but there is a certain atmosphere it has that I don't get here.

Why, where do you live Dylan?

I live on the East Coast of the USA. About 110 miles east of New York City. So quick trips to the pub are, unfortunately, out of the question

i'm amazed there isnt a "ye new london inn", theres plenty of authentic pub fixtures and fittings available over here these days dylan, most ending up on the tip or burnt when the pubs get torched after they've closed down.

we could start a chain of them,
the old lady of goodison rd. etc etc

Funny you say 'ye new london inn' as the town right across the river here is called New London. And it is chock full of 'Irish Pubs' Basically, an American Bar with Irish stuff hung around the walls, but unmistakably American. Bit crap really.

i was aware of that, hence the pub name. "irish bars " the world over are like that, most have the same decor and fittings, someone is making money somewhere.
