Allardyce quits!

I believe he is pissed off with bolton as a club, he struggles to keep hold of any worthy talent and bolton isnt a name that is enough of a draw for attracting better players.

that and their "football" is [Poor language removed].

First thought on hearing this news was one of disbelief, what manager would leave their job with only two games to go and when your 5th in the prem and with a good chance of getting into the UEFA Cup ?
If he does get the City job, City fans should be worried that he could do the same to them if a bigger club came in for him.

A completely off-the-wall comment, and certainly not made with any intent to slur him, but were the corruption allegations made earlier in the season against Allardyce by the BBC here , completely withdrawn, or proven untrue?

Of course Sam vehemently denied any wrong-doing and as far as I know the matter is in the hands of his solicitors, but is there an outside chance that they have something to do with his resignation?

good point, he still doesnt speak to the bbc so it appears still up in the air. harry 'the envelope' redknapp was the manager that actually appeared on film though and hes still in a job.

Allardyce might not be city bound, Glenn Roeder might be getting his P45 shortly.

Will be good for us;

- Less morale for the finish. Bolton may well lose final two games, and slip out of UEFA Cup places.
- They are nothing without Sam. They will be in turmoil trying to find a new manager and won't be able to compete next season (like Charlton with Curbishley. he had them punching well above their weight)
- We might nick Nolan, a quality midfielder, from them now Big Sam's departed.

Good all round.

"He's fat! He's round! He bounces on the ground its Sammy Leeeeee" etc

Yeah Sammy Lee has taken over the reigns in a pre-determined takeover I think.

In fairness to Big Sam A he really has taken that club as far as it can go. They can't afford big names. They can't attract big names. They won't spend money. He has taken them to within clutching distance of Europe and left a bruising team that can grind out results and even show flair at times. Job done if I was him. Go out on the best possible high and let some other melon cut his teeth in your wake.

£10 says Sam A will be at Man City next season. Can't see what Sammy Lee will do for Bolton. Seems like Boltons board realised no one with any sense would touch them so they decided to give Sammy Lee his "shot" at it. He can really damage that club in the last 2 games so he had best be on his toes or it will be his head.

The wise man will put 50 quid on them to go down next season.

It will happen.

He's got one bad rectangle head. A seven foot jaw, and looks like some fella off a call centre who chews too much Wrigleys.

Hope he goes to the bar codes. I hate them.
