We all have ambitions, name a few here, no matter how random.

One of mine is to live abroad for a few years. Ideally Canada - although having recently seen the types of houses in Texas (for the price!), I am starting to lean towards there...

You'd be sick if you not only saw the house we're in, but what we paid for it.

Housing in Texas is definitely cheaper than in other parts of the country and you can get a whole lot more house for the price.

I believe Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio were three of the fastest growing cities in the USA last year and I'm sure a lot of that was due to home prices.

Our home prices didn't skyrocket like the rest of the country and they haven't cratered like the rest of the country either.

i want to be a tree.

I was a tree once - it was in a school play when I was about 7.

Its not all its cracked up to be - all that pretending to sway in the wind is what I reckon has got me a dodgy disc in my back now.

Plus you run the gauntlet of dogs pissing on you - but hey that may be what your after:D:D

I was looking at houses out there when I was interviewing for jobs.

A cool $250k would net me something Y-U-M-M-Y.

Then I saw the property taxes, the great equalizer!

I want to hug that tree. Quite jealous really Dylan. A cool $250k here in London would net me a park bench. 1 bedroom flats in decent areas start at around $300k at least.

Etape du Tour would be quite cool.

Sucks to live in UK. Our house cost AU $130 000.

My ambition is to stand on The homecoming bus after we win our first champs league and prem title double. Nothing else.

No doubt about the property tax Dylan. It is somewhat of an equalizer.

Remember though that the property tax is offset from the standpoint that we don't have a state income tax.

It all evens out in the end.

I don't pay state income tax anyway. I am somehow registered as being a resident of Illinois, and the only time I was there was for boot camp! Illinois doesn't charge state tax for us military types. So, I am pretty happy about that :D

First and foremost - Never move back to Europe.

Work until 35 then open a bar in New Caledonia / Vanuatu / similar...

Live off that, supplemented by renting out properties back in the real world.

Kids, yes - wife, probably.
