I would expect Phillips to be a loan with a fixed purchase option which I don't mind as long as the money goes towards a pacey winger. The money we were prepared to pay for Gnonto is still there you would hope.

I don't think thats how it works tbh the up front money we were offering for Gnonto will have been small its not like we have 25mil cash just sitting there.

Even if that's the way we're doing things other clubs especially in Europe would be willing to accept them terms. Barely anyone pays all in one nowadays.

What terms? I just mean the money won't still be there because we won't have been spending it all in one go anyway and wages and all that have to get factored in aswell. We don't know the terms of any of these deals but we might have been trying to get Gnonto for 7 or 8 mil up front and then we've paid 3 or 4 as a loan fee for Lindstrom so half of the money that was there now isn't. I'm not saying it means we have no money only that its not the case that because we were trying to sign a player in a 25 mil deal we've definitely got 25 mil to spend on someone else.

Say there was another player out there at the valuation we value Gnonto at, the offer we were presenting to Leeds might be acceptable to someone else which is what I was getting at. If the money isn't there and we need another sale then fair enough

The Gnonto stuff resurfaced after we first heard of Lindstrom so it looked like we were trying to get both in
