Posted via Mobile Device I think that's how you spell it The late 70's early 80's horror film. Anyway was watching it for the umpteenth time the other evening and got to thinking if such a thing could really have happened. The general consensus regarding that film is evenly divided, some believe that the family was the subject of 'posession' while others are sure it was nothing but an elaborate money making publicity stunt, ( the family were in heavy debt at the time) What are the views on this forum regarding this topic ? Do you reckon there is such a thing as posession, poltergeist's or just ghost's in general ?

Nope. I dont believe anything ive NOT seen with my own eyes. Unless its magic, some of them magic tricks are rather good.

I can believe that some people experience weird and unexplainable events but I think these are less to do with 'ghosts' and 'spirits' and more to do with the 80% of most people's brain that isn't used.

If anything, I can believe that ghost sightings are a kind of 'brain archaeology' that has picked up on some kind of magnetic trace or something.

On the other hand, it's far more likely to be a load of old guff.

Many years ago i was reading in bed late one night when for some unexplicable reason i started looking through the open door of the bedroom towards the landing, after a while i started to 'sense' that there was 'something' evil/unpleasant there. I swear to God lads it put the sh*ts up me, it got so bad that i nudged my wife who was fast asleep, yeah i know, fu*king chicken, anyway she opened her eyes and instantly stared at the landing then looked at me and said there's something not human there, i said i know, can you go and close the door please!. We couldn't both have imagined the same thing, could we? Spooky eh!
