Thoughts?

I think it must be very hard to lose everything you take for granted.

Clearly he was being an absolute tit and his behaviour needed to be challenged and addressed. It's a tough one, because I don't think anyone wants to see someone suffer like that.

On the other side, maybe it means they perhaps appreciate the effect their words on others. Although it doesn't sound like they have in that interview.

IIRC Gray and Keys defended themselves for years after that incident...which doesn't quite tally with what's being claimed there.

I think the issue is that having a mental health problem can often be obscured by people - shame, stigma, cultural factors, or just not quite having the toolsor knowledge todeal with them.

Despicable if they're using such claims to wipe the slate clean, but you really don't know what's going on with people.

You can still have empathy for someone and acknowledge they've done something wrong, both feelings are legimate and redemption and forgiveness should be a path open to all.

A difficult one. The cynic in me does wonder how easy it is to sometimes claim such thoughts and feelings because it can/will soften the perception of you.

I'm not saying he isn't telling the truth, but it can be embellished. But, a BIG but, and disregarding all the above, I think it's important we air on the side of trust.

Suicide is a huge killer in men and the stigma of it still causes too many people to take their own lives, so all things considered, I hope he is well.

People have to be forgiven.
