The music department here at UEA are a bunch of work shy time wasters. FACT.
I have my grade 7 piano exam coming up, so in Freshers week I went down to Music to ask about using a piano to practice on. I was told they were available every Friday between 9-5 for a fee of £2 a session. That, or I could buy some swipe card thing for £40 to let me use one whenever. So the last couple of weeks I've been down on Friday afternoons to keep my pieces ticking over.
I go there today at 4pm, and the Receptionist informs me that they are closed. Apparently (unbeknown to me) their office hours change each week and they closed today at half 1. Now, not only was there no way of me knowing this, but whilst I was speaking to her, some git walked past with a swipe card, and walked into the practice rooms! So they're closed, but not for people who can afford to blow £40?!
Practising once a week is pushing it a bit, but to go 2 weeks without practising!! I'm gonna be f***ed. So first thing Monday morning, I will go, and not leave until they've let me used a piano. Gobshites.
Anyway, in better news, uni is class apart from this
