£8m for Elanga and £15m for Gray - we basically trade a like for like player, except get one thats 21, has a much higher ceiling and much better defensive record.

That would also account for £13m pure FFP for selling Gray and we bank £7m.

This would be a very good result for a Club in our kind of financial predicament. I imagine that United would be attracted to a deal based on FFP implications for themselves, and wouldn't need it all up front as well, whereas you would imagine money from Saudi for Gray would be all up-front. Could end up being an £11m cash-flow positive decision as well (based on Elanga being two installments).

You maybe right, but consecutive 16th and 17th placed finishes suggest otherwise.

Maybe a full season with Dyche gains us a few points, but we're unarguably weaker right now than we were in late May.

Don't get me wrong, I really don't see us in genuine danger this season, but I don't think we'll be a surprise package either (IE, in an around Brentford/Fulham).

Bit confused why were supposed to be buying Elanga for £8-10mil instead of a loan.
