I have to say that their performance over the last 20 years domestically and the increased TV coverage of the big European teams and European competition leaves Everton well outside the top tier.

It depends if you consider a big club a permanent thing or a temporary thing, if you see what I mean.

Atm, we're not a big club. But if you define 'big club' a lot to do with history, fan base etc, then we are still a big club.

Compared to United and the RS, everybody is small, in terms of worldwide fanbase.

Chelsea are picking up fans at a good rate tho.

It's a hard thing to measure.

I also think there's a distinction between real fan base and glory hunting fans.

You look at the amount of new City supporters have popped up in the last few seasons, same since Spurs have started finishing top 6.
