Mighty strange folks those South Americans. After Diego Maradonna's promise to run naked through the streets of Buenos Airos if Argentina win the World Cup, Argentinian team chef Carlos Bilardo made an even stranger announcement.

"Whoever scores the winning goal in the final, can take me from behind", Bilardo told Argentinian Radio station Telefe. "I know it's gonna hurt and people telling me I'm insane, but that doesn't matter to me. All that is important is that we become the World Champion".

Not everyone is looking forward to this special bonus by the 71 year old. "If I score the winning goal, he better stays far away from me", warned Carlos Tevez. Martin Palermo, could see the humour in Bilardo's proposal though. "I'll score the winning goal and make him wear a wig."

I did hear Torres has offered the same kind of deal for Spain. Though it includes all the players taking turns if they win it. If they lose he said the same deal applies, except he'll take them twice.
