Sack Sky and donate to GOT...donations are needed
Merseyside born cricketer Ian Botham has received a knighthood in the Queens birthday honours list for services to both cricket and charity. If anyone in sport deserves this award it is Beefy as he has done so much unselfish and unstinting work for charity over the years having raised literally millions of pounds with his long distance walks, the guy is his own man and a legend.

Normally speaking I am amazed at the euphoria arising from these antiquated awards but if anyone deserves such recognition it is him, well done Sir Beefy(y)

Yeh, best knighthood in a while this one!

I wish Sir Botham played a more central role in controlling our cricket team though, its too steady eddie as it is and botham is just the kind of guy to galvanise us and get us going.

Well done like, sometimes he abit clueless like when he slags off vaughany.

Isnt he meant to be a miserable [Poor language removed]?

Not that he is due to his charity work but supposedly hes meant to be real arrogant.

I remember him, mullet and all bowling. I can't remember if he was in the team that let Brian Lara hit 500 against them. Was he, cricket buffs??

Its Vaughan (Michael that is) who is the miserable [Poor language removed], as far as Beefy is concerned never drink with him he is very much one of the boys.

Well deserved, apart from various cricket records that he set in his playing days his charity work is also impressive, i think he has raised 10 million for cancer research.
