Match cancelled because of frozen approaches, this may mean next weekends match against us could be in doubt if the snow persisits

I guess because of health and saftey these days, games in the snow with the old orange ball are a thing of the past :(

Many a time in the 60's we have snow, frost and fog but matches went ahead. You'd get one end of GP shouting to the other end what had happened becuase you just couldn't see past the halfway line. As for spectators going home or actually getting to the ground it was ok as pavements got gritted and salted

Well I'm only 28 but I can remember many, many games being played in the snow in the late 80's and early 90's too. A lot of the time these days the games are cancelled because it's 'dangerous' for the spectators. The pitch is usually playable (unless completely frozen, which doesn't happen in the Prem often due to under soil heating) and that's probably the case tonight?

What's the weather forecast for the next few days in England? Will be going to the Emirates on Saturday. Would be a shame if all games were postponed, due to the snow. Will arrive in London on Saturday morning after a 7-8 hours coach journey (annex drinking session) and would prefer not to spend the rest of the weekend inside a pub. Nothing wrong with a few pints of Foster's though.

Yeah not good lad, not good at all.

FFS, would be the 2nd time I've come to England and have an Everton match postponed, due to heavy snow and icey conditions.:@

First one was in December 2000, home against Leeds. Was stranded at Schiphol Airport for the whole day. Was scheduled to leave early in the morning, but because of severe weather conditions in both Amsterdam and Liverpool, the flight kept getting delayed. At around 5.30 pm we finally took off, but after I finally arrived in my hotel, the first thing I heard was the match being postponed.:(

Kids at home today Goat?

Yes mate and tomorrow. But the girls have been out most of the day, I tried to take my son out before but it was like dancing on Ice, I saw 3 people fall over in 5 minutes and thought sod this and went back Home. My son fell over, but he was laughing about it.
