Did anyone else notice Arteta diving a bit too much today, AJ did once too. OK Arteta is Spanish and to a certain degree it is to be expected but I think he needs to reel it in a bit before Mourinio and Wenger etc. pick up on it.

I didnt think he dived at all tbh, the start of last season he did, but at the match i didnt see anything, most of the time he was hacked, or pushed...

I think Arteta, as the recognised playmaker, is going to get kicked a lot, and 'going to ground' is more about self-preservation than cheating.

the radio said arteta was the most fouled player last season - in that he garnered 100 free kicks in the league.

i though pisstiano ronaldo would have had it sewn up.

Can't remember seeing them dive yesterday. They were both tackled in the penaltybox, but both times it was, marginally, a correct one and they fell then. Don't see that as diving.

It was Carsley who dived, only after Scharner did a 10/10 in our box only to be told by Howard to get the fcuk out of his box.

Arteta was consistently fouled by Kilbane and never dived once. Kilbane never even got booked for it.

Arteta is also Basque. Are you sure you saw the same game as me...

Not really everytime he took the piss out of them a wigan player hacked at his feet, before that pen appeal they took him down about 3 times including once in the penalty area and he gained his balance and carried on, he could easily have gone down.

When did AJ dive?

My view was right infront of where he got brought down and it looked a clear free kick.

Didn't see him dive anytime. Only time I thought an Evertonplayer went down too easy were when Carsley went down in the penaltyarea... and I give him the benefit of a doubt since it looked like he slipped when turning.
