Asda in Aintee Warning

Anyone who uses this Asda I would advise against using the cash machines directly outside.

My mum used it Yesterday evening, just before 12 last night £300 went out of her account followed by another £300 around 6 this morning. Phoned up and it was taken out at a cash machine in London...

She has both cards assigned to that account in her possession so its not a case of stolen/lost card, no online banking/paypals etc, and has only used that cash machine in the past week so would largely assume thats the problem.

it's quite tricky to rig an ATM to clone a card, even the ones in Supermarkets. Has she payed by card for any petrol recently?

It's likely that there would be anything up to a 2 week delay between her card being skimmed, cloned, sold (with a bundle of others), and then used.

The timing (shortly after her visit to the ATM) may be coincidental; it's common practice for cloned cards to only be used twice, pulling the max daily withdrawal amount out late one night and early the next morning (basically getting as much cash as possible before the card gets stopped by the holding bank).

I know what your saying but she doesnt have chip and pin so only uses ATM's, only using the ones outside Asda for weeks.

The ones outside Asda Aintree dont look to safe anyway, they aren't built into a proper wall...
