Atletico-Galatasaray

stinger

Player Valuation: £8m
Our next round (hopefully) opponents just started their 1st game, at Vicente Calderon in Madrid.
Strong squads, Galatasaray with Neill, but without Jo, who I believe is cuptied. Aguero, Forlan, Simao, Reyes vs Keita, Elano and Turan Arda.
Game is broadcasted by GOL TV, so plenty of quality streams is available.

I'd want Athletico if Im honest.....

I want us to stand up to a Champs League side and see if we could cut it against em.

They're also not very good this season no matter what kind of class players they have.

They're 1 up at the mo....Reyes

1-0 at HT. Atletico is dominating team, but they need to score at least one more goal (and keep clean sheet) to be fairly secure before 2nd game. Simao and Reyes are the most dangerous players for them, especiall when they have space to shoot in 25meters range. Aguero is disappointing, he didn't finish one chance, because of surprisengly heavy first touch. Forlan is anonymous, but this is the way he's usually playing... until he scores.
For Galatasaray - Turan is very active, when Keita with all his pace is kind of limited player, and Elano is totally anonymous.

Atletico's keeper De Gea just injured (mildly I think) himself kicking the ball off. Sergio Asenjo replaces him. Atletico is probably one of the rare teams not having to worry about quality of their back-up keeper.

Standard ball behing the defence, typical terrible defence by Atletico (especially by Ujfalusi playing today as left back) and easy goal for Keita. 1-1.

1-1 FT.
Rather average game, 2nd half was more boring, mostly because of the Turkish team tightening their defence and not allowing Atletico to play their free flow offence like in 1st half. Bad result for "Los Colchoneros".

Kader Keita (we were linked a few times with him in the past) is so fun to watch - being 29 he is no longer lightining quick, probably moved down to very, very pacy category :).
Still a quality player, and doesn't even look as a big ball hog as he did look on youtube videos :).

Athletico have been poor this season, but I reckon they could still give us a tough test. Galatasary would be harder for us I think though, but lets just hope to get through to that round.
