Kennedy gets 4th. Cahill has been sensational tonight, i really think this game will help our cause.

woo 4-0, what a drubbing.
Aus didn't play that well, (well after the first 20 minutes) but how was the finishing on those goals. Superb goal by Cahill, will do wonders for his confidence!

I thought the penalty was a bit soft - there was hardly any touch at all.

I think the ref probably realised afterwards, and seemed to be a bit tougher on Cahill after that (the free kick given against him where there was no contact at all).

The team looked pretty solid though, and there was no time in the game when I was really worried. They looked like they were having fun out there... I even started feeling sorry for their little goalie. The way he was throwing himself around to prove how hard he was working, he must be worried that he'll be shot when he gets home.

i was always under the impression that a volley was when you hit it without it touching the ground between the passer and striker, whereas that one bounced before he hit it, if that is a volley then every goal scored with the foot where the ball is off the ground is a volley.
and a 1/2 volley is kind of on the bounce like a drop kick in rugby.
