This [Poor language removed] me off beyond belief. I can understand it with Everton, as its a different game then Internationals, but with the players we have got and the quality of the league, why shouldn't we be hitting the semi's.

Kind of reminds me of Sue Barker, who when doing the Olympics, talks about some British olympian who has just done tremendously well and finished 17th, [Poor language removed] off!!!! that's [Poor language removed]. There's not enough pressure for our boys and girls to do well.

I think in the Olympics, if you don't finish in the top 5 of your event, then that's it. Your out, and let's see who can compete. Harsh but fair me thinks.

Well I disagree for far too long we have thought we are better than we actually are. Playing down expectations for once!

Well it's not the right way to go about it. If you tell a school kid, it's ok, just aim for a D, he/she may end up with an E or F. With the money that they are being paid, they should be more demanding, and if they fail, then boot them out.

what about the other side I know a guy who lives on the Wirral mother and father both high up in the medical proffession he ended up going from having a promising future to nothing having a break down last time I saw him he was sweeping a station platform

But I honestly believe as a nation we accept failure in our sporting teams. And when we finally do something, it's unbelievable.

Start following cycling Ghost, we have winners all over the place in that sport. On second thoughts, don't because it's probably because they can enjoy success out of the red tops and celebrity magazines glare that maintains the fighting spirit.

Well I need a sport that excites me. Cycling is very much like running. Can't think of any reason why televising the Great North Run or the London Marathon is good entertainment. Unless it's some bird having a slash mid race.
