Sometime ago I reported that I had a failed interview on the same day that Everton beat the rs. That failed interview led to me becoming unemployed. For some reason, each subsequent interview has occured on the day, or next to when Everton were playing.
When Everton won, I didn't get my job. It seemed that apart from the Chelsea match (which is the only interview which broke a 5 interview sequence), it seemed that I was jinxed by Everton.
Last week I had two interviews, one on Thursday, the other on Friday, the day Everton was to play Bury. We lost 2 -1.
Today, I got a phone call ~ I've got my job!!!! the hoodoo is broken, or confirmed as a hoodoo.
I am pleased that it was a pre season friendly, but I believe that this loss broke the hoodoo I was under and helped me into work. If we had won I am convinced that I would still be unemployed.
Just hope that in 18 months time when my contract is up the hoodoo is fully removed.

My missus has been out of work for a couple of months now and Queensland is nowhere near as bad as the UK. My job is recession proof luckily, cause she isn't even eligible for benefits despite being born and raised here.
