Ok, so why the hell was he at the game last week? This just stinks of Newcastle coming in with 30k extra a week.

If Baines goes for the money and no European football, its a disgrace.

We have gotten to Europe on a shoe string twice in three years, yet these [Poor language removed] with their over inflated wage budget just ruin everything.

And they also need to get their facts right, Baines is a Kopite not a Blue.

If for Footballing reasons, Everton would be first choice but we live in the days where the players will move for the biggest wage packet.

something tells me arteta could be on double his current wage if he really wanted - but he is a player that has been isolated and bullied before and knows that a standard of living and playing is more important than an extra million or two a year. (please note EXTRA ;) )

With Arteta, lets not forget that he is a fans favourite, whenever he has the ball, he knows that all Evertonians are either chanting his name or hoping he does something. Surely that is enhancing his ego, something that is worth its wait in gold to a true footballer. At many other teams a player of his ability wouldnt be the favourite he is with us, and he knows that.

mikel could be on mega bucks elsewhere - i know it.

he has been through the footballing 'wringer' and appreciated the base and roots he has here.

There is an interview recently with Arteta stating exactly that.

As for Baines. I hope he makes the right choice, but the toon have a canny knack of poaching players we go in for. Parker, Smith, Owen(iirc).

Newcastle have just signed a left back so it would be strange if they splashed out on another, especially now the Dyer move to West Ham has fallen through. To be honest I'm surprised they're spending as much as they are anyway. The new owner has said publically that his first priority is reducing their £80m debt and his company has been slayed since floating on the stock exchange, losing about half of its value in just over a month. If I was a toon now wouldn't be the time to spending money left right and centre.

the vibes are that we have signed baines for 4 million. although he will be injured for the start of the season.

no news today about the argentinian.

do we need another striker?

Funny that about gonzalez nothing in any paper today more bollocks i reckon

maybe this might chuck newcastle out of the frame.

But Baines has bought and moved into a house in Widnes. My mum knows a postman who has delivers to his house.

The big money spenders are in for another left back Ivica Dragutinovic from Sevilla. Because they fear they will will lose out to us for Leighton Baines.Lets hope so!
