That's actually a good point, mate. He does seem to fluff his lines in these kinds of games. Messi, inversely, rarely puts in a duff performance -- if ever.
Messi -- numero uno. No doubt in my mind.
Iniesta was one of the stars of the show today though. His ball retention beggars belief.

Unless he does a Michael Owen, and gets worse with age, then he's on course.
If he progresses proportional to most players over the course of their careers, then he'll be out of this world by 26/27, me thinks. Although I'm not sure how he can really get any better.

Carvalho should have been sent off too -- twice. First elbowed Messi, but Messi gets booked for diving (he did exaggerate like, but it was still an elbow to the face). And then late on, he handballs it as the last man to stop a clear goalscoring oppurtunity. Ref only gives him a yellow, so I guess he just felt sorry for them, because that was a red card offence.
