Selling off players and borrowing £125M to pay wages.

Aren't these supposed to be the model some want EFC to follow? The grassroots focussed, prudent, spend as you earn paragon of virtue that Everton had to emulate?

Bruce?

Hi Bruce here,

just heard on the radio that the local council also help fund Barca...Is that right???

i did the Nou Camp tour and was told the stadium was paid for by selling 60,000 plus season tickets i think?

I think the local council or whoever it may be, bought a major part of their training facilities, for a more than inflated price........which is apparently a no go

How can they be wofting around the rumours of bringing in Fabregas in this situation? If they were in the Premier League..........

Santander???

If anything ever happens the city will bail them out. They get their own TV package so they can borrow as much as they want. Also their shirt could be worth upwards of 200M to a sponsor.

RE: Fabergas, someone rightly pointed out that sitting on the bench for Spain will be good practice for what's going to happen to him at Barca. At least he won't get injured I guess. Barca will buy him for 30M, sit him on the bench and sell him of the City the next year for twice that amount. That's why they want him.

Id go Arsenal myself.
Hopefully we will never be like Arsenal - stealing players for nothing using legal loopholes, unsettle players at other clubs to sign them, not rating local talent, charging extremely high ticket prices for not so excellent football, etc...

I'd rather be City - at least they are providing serious cash injections for other football clubs.

I wonder if Platini will boot them out for being in debt?
