A report in the city's Evening Chronicle on Wednesday claimed that a South African group would offer Kevin Keegan a stake of up to 10 per cent in the club if he returned as manager.
They and the Nigerian consortium which claims to be in the process of tabling a £200million offer, have emerged as two of the contenders.

When you think that joke of a club couldnt get any worse...

I would rather Kenwright than a obviously really dodgy takeover such as that/
 
Very true. But at least we can't say anymore people aren't interested in purchasing a Football club and it's a bad investment and so on and so forth.
 
They can only check out the goods if the team is really up for sale.

Ashley has stated his price, has come out in the media and told people he is selling up.

What has Kenwright done ?

Has he ever said " i am selling the club " .

i've heard, The club has been for sale since the day i bought it.

If someone can come in and do a better job, then i will stand aside.

We have been looking for investment 24/7 .


What i want to hear from him is " I want to sell the club, and i have put it on the market "

We all know this won't happen, as he has no intention to sell until this DK debacle is concluded.

He has said he wants to sell the club, very bluntly.
 

He can say whatever he wants.

If the club was truly for sale, and by sale i mean by him leaving and nothing else to do with Everton, then why has it taken him 8/9 years to hire a broker to find a buyer ?

Really can't wait until he's gone.
 
that's a given mate.

that's why i don't understand with pushing on with DK. if he is selling then why push the club he loves to the brink ?

the minute it was called in, he should have put an end to it there and then.
 
haha, bet the geordies are being had by one of those nigerian scams. the owner got an email saying they'll pay an exorbitant amount for the club, and all he needs to do is send the nigerians 2 million pounds to confirm the deal and handle contract details and related expenses.

keegan probably got a similar one, saying that he'll be given 10% of the club as long as he agrees to be manager and sends the nigerians a 2 million pound deposit as confirmation.
