So, last night the Red Sox made it through to the World Series. Again. For the record, I hate the Yankee's and the Red Sox, though, given the choice between the two I would prefer the Yankee's. I think of them like The Yankees are the Manure and the Red Sox are the [Poor language removed].

Bugger. Was hoping for a Red Sox free World Series.

I don't even know who they are playing. Don't care, just beat them!

 Oh yeah! I am selling everything I own so I can buy as many PS3's as I can. I am going to hoard them.

Looking forward to the Series.

I hate the Cubs more than the Yankees. Specifically, I hate Cubs fans. Bottom of the barrel. Glad they got bounced out of the playoffs but quick.

Losers.

whats wrong with the red sox Dylan?

As Matsuzaka is their pitcher its all over TV at the moment.

When I was in grade school I used to listen to radio broadcasts of the Pirates every night however I can't even watch baseball anymore. Part of that is that the pirates have been so inept (and laid off one my friends to save a whopping 40k a year). However the big reason is that players are so juiced up that the game is just home run derby. Sluggers used to be pretty wirey (Eric Davis, George Foster) now, no one can play the field, run the bases etc. There are entire starting lineups with guys that have 25+ homeruns/year. Small guys like Joe Morgan, a Hall of famer, couldn't make a starting lineup unless he agreed to take a syringe up his ass.

I do hate the cubs with a passion though. From the whole blame Bartman thing, who was probaly the only real cub fan at the game, to the boo-hoo we always choke becasue we're cursed thing (I tell you what I still would like to see the Pirates win we'll trade for your stupid curse in exchange for your payroll), they are so annoying. I was glad the White Sox won it before them. Plus the fact that they were a racist/elitest club (they wouldn't let blacks into the stadium til like the late 70s) didn't help either.

The Yanks are like Manure however the Red Sox are kind of like Chelsea. Both have payrolls in the 200million range.

They are [Poor language removed] arrogant bastards who think it is their divine right to win. Oh, and I am in the middle of Red Sox/Yankee territory and it annoys the [Poor language removed] out of me.

If I was to support a Baseball team, it would be the Seattle Mariners. While I was stationed up there I went to quite a few games at the old Kingdome and the new Safeco Field, and witnessed their record breaking season (all for naught as they lost to the Yankees in the ALCS).

I started watching them when they had Randy Johnson pitching, A-Rod, Ken Griffey Jr and Edgar Martinez as the DH. Then they got this Japanese guy, you may have heard of him, Ichiro Suzuki. He isn't a bad ball-player at all (y)

Eric Davis.

Now that's a name I haven't seen in a while. He had the fastest bat speed back in the day.

:D I don't follow baseball particularly closely, but the cubs are my team (sort of; I have relatives in Chicago, and I've got a wardrobe full Cubs jackets, jerseys and caps as a result).

I guess I should have clarified my position a bit.

Basically, back in '03, most (not all but most) of their fans blamed Steve Bartman (the guy who went for the foul ball against the Marlins) for their epic collapse in the playoffs.

To pin it all on one guy and say it was his fault when it surely wasn't, was to me, was the epitomy of no class.

The front office didn't come out and defend him. The manager and players didn't come out and defend him. To my knowledge, very few did.

No one in the Cubs organization took responsibility for what happened on the field. He was a very convenient scapegoat and for that, I hope the Cubs continue their losing streak of no championships.
