Player Valuation: £70m
Announced it after the Rangers game.

As if he was going back to the Mickey Mouse league, sorry lads, but it is.

Some world class players, and CL in the offering for Beckham, perhaps another World Cup.

I always thought he went there under direction from his stick insect wife.
she wanted to make it over there.....but she forgot one thing you need "TALENT"

He didn't even bother to even pretend to try last season. Drogba expended more energy sitting on the bench listening to an iPod than Beckham did. He won't be missed.

Don't go knocking Mickey Mouse Ghost. He gets a bad rap using his name in vain. MLS will someday be good league but untill then lay of the mouse gives him a bad name it does.

Never got to see him play for the Galaxy in Houston. :(

when tickets came around for me to see him in dc i turned it down.

trust me bill, it wouldn't have been a site you want to see. watching the "home" fans wearing Galaxy shirts because beckham is the only player they know of, and having no ******* idea what's going on.

people i knew actually referred to it as "the beckham game." can you ******* believe it, the beckham game, as if he was the only ******* player on the pitch.

people can call mls the mickey mouse league if they want, but i take it seriously, and i treat games as games, not photo-ops to showcase so-callled superstars. you strike me as the same way, so i don't think you should be too upset about missing it.

Well let's be honest guys. Your soccer league has its foundations in image and less about sport. Baseball and Football, hockey etc, well they surely have their roots in the sport and less about ego's. Obviously the sport has changed now, but it was already established.

Am I making sense?

It did for a while, the the league was more interested in getting non-footie fans into the matches. Now the league is now catering to more hard core fans and reach out to the supporter groups. The league has its problems (playoffs, no relegation, some players making $12K/year, teams in NFL stadiums) however the quality of play has increased immensely. You could make the arguement that its about the 10th-12th best league in the world which isn't bad considering the league is only 10 years old.

it seems today that AC offered £6.7m to keep Becks but Galaxy want £18m.

Are AC going to pay £18m for a 33yr old ???

Wouldn't be surprised if they did tbh. Don't underestimate the commercial factor regarding David Beckham. He's guaranteed increased revenues, regarding merchandise and sponsordeals.

A lot of money can be made, by just having Beckhams name on your books.
