Posted in another thread but been told to create a new one. Don't I feel special lol

At the hospital now waiting for my girlfriend to be induced, could be a lengthy process but they'll be a baby in the next 96 hours! Felt pretty calm up to today but now bricking it and feeling massively underprepared! The boy is becoming a man lol

Any pearls of wisdom from the dads on here?

And no I'm not bringing her up to be a toffee I'm afraid, little fox cub all the way :)

Expecting my second in.early December (my first is three) and I'm bricking it more than with the first as I now know what to expect lol

You will be fine though mate, we all find a way to not totally balls up this parenting lark.
Think its the first night we get her home and I'll be like 'what the f*** do we do now' lol

Hahaha!

I was terrified of doing the wrong thing literally every second of the day at first.

Looking at the little monster now, me and Mrs Blue haven't done too badly. I might just leave the second to fend for themselves and see how they turn out...

slog at first but it gets better in stages mate. Baby Tv! Channel 623 my 6 month old loves it.

Nah man, playmat and wooden toys. TV at that age is a recipe for disaster, as well I know. My first two have had cbeebies on as long as I can remember and they've got no attention span; 3rd doesn't watch it and is happy with any toy you give her. She'll spend 30 mins just playing with a packet of wet wipes!

Anyway, it's suprising how it all comes rather naturally, best advice is not to argue with the missus over preferred methods, just try to work as a team and see how things go. Men usually err towards the 'ahh, they'll be fine stop worrying' approach, women will always want to wrap them up in cotton wool. You'll find a middle ground eventually.

Take it turns to sleep as much as you can if your both less tired less arguments... Breast is best that way you won't have to do any night feeds.give yourself an hour before you want too go anywhere it takes that long to pack everything.. But most of all enjoy they grow up too fast and turn into brats

We gave one bottle during the night, then the wife breastfed during the day - did this for all three kids and never disrupted the breastfeeding. Gave me the chance to get involved (and funnily enough, getting up every night become a routine that my body got used to, so wasn't that tiring), and gave her the chance to get some sleep.
