It being the first stadium we played at, would you visit anfield and watch a game just for the simple fact that its due to be demolished and with it the opportunity to experience one of the founder stadia of football as we know it?

Yes I would because it is part and parcel of our history like it or not. I have been to Analfield to watch games in which we have not been playing including a European cup quarter final against St Etiene who lost despite my encouragement:dodgy:

As a kid when I could not go away games I uesd to go there because my mates mum worked there on the tea counter and she used to get this guy to open a gate to let the two of us in for free after 20mins they where in division two then so I felt supperior to our younger fans we could walk round from Anfield rd end onto the kop wonder where all theese life long fans where then.

I have to admit.....

The only premier league match Ive ever seen was Liverpool v Newcastle @ anfield in 1986.

I can only remember the bovril.

to my everlasting shame, I've been to anfield.

My dad was a painter, and during the 80s when liverpool were sponsored by crown paint he used to get free tickets.

needless to say, he always managed to swap them for everton tickets somehow (think he knew a red working for Hafnia or something)

But once, my older brother (a red) persuaded my dad to take us to a night game. We had a nice meal before the game, and (shame upon shame) my dad managed to blag it for me and my bro to hold the european cup while he took a photo, accompanied by grobbelaar and sammy lee.

*bites fist and waits for abuse*
