I’m seeing a lot of chatter about Everton fans being either great or nasty. Now I for one don’t think it’s fair to typecast a fanbase as all the same but if we were to consider Evertonian as how they behave as fans to both players and others how do you think we compare?

Personally I think Evertonians are better for a number of reasons being their staunch support even during years of abject failure and pain, the travelling numbers no matter the circumstance and their fight to see the best for their club, and my bias from being a proud Evertonian.

Sure there may be an angry edge about our fans sometimes but that’s reflective of the proud staunch community Everton is from and represents. I’d say this edge has cajoled the team into avoiding relegation a few times instead of going down without a a whimper, as the Geordies, Villa and Leicester did.

Great thread, would read again.

Am I doing it right?

But on topic: not as good as we think we are, prob still better than most in some ways (away fans/attendance), but also can be very toxic to our own, tho maybe other clubs' fans are the same, and can be a bit entitled/pretentious.

Mate, as long as you're not comparing us to THAT lot, then we're pretty normal....
