FC Brugge

Player Valuation: £2.5m
Who will be the player to have the biggest impact on their team (who signed this transfer window), and on the EPL?
I've only put in the biggest transfers, if you've another player in mind, tell us who and why.

I do realise the transfer window is not yet over, but I really didn't feel like waiting and then maybe having to put Lescott in this list.

My personal vote goes to Vermaelen. Already proven (though of course has only played 3 games for them) to be a rock in the Arsenal defence, he also works with Gallas way better than Toure ever did.
City may have signed great players, but they're only (in my opinion) marginally better than what they had. They improved the team, but I doubt at the end of the season one of those players could be individually praised for lifting the team. Vermaelen, I reckon, could.

If you mean this season I reckon probably;

Gareth Barry to City.

In terms of ruining a team, this (along with Laursen (although obv not a transfer)) is pretty much top (or bottom) of the tree.

They're trying to do the same to us. SCUM.

As much as it pains me to say it, it looks like the piece of business Liverpool did in picking up Glen Johnson has been the best so far.

Steven Hunt will get around 12-15 prem goals and almost singlehandedly keep Hull City in the prem for another year.

If you watched the match against Chelsea he was the one player they truly did fear. They spent the entire 2nd half double teaming him and still had to resort to pulling and grabbing his shirt and at the time he had only been a member of the squad for a week. However, he's just a yard dog who runs around, barks alot and has no disernable skills so what do I know.

It also pains me to say when Liverpool play attacking footie thanks to him they are arguably the best team in the prem. However Johnson isn't very good in defense, their back line is shaky and so far Rafael stupidly and thankfully has been sticking to his rigid defensive style that relies on the counterattack.
