for me, it's got to be the Nintendo 64. I own a PS2 which is a much newer system, but i still always play my N64, as far as i'm concerned it can't be beaten. the games may not be as realistic, but if i wanted real life, i'd go outside. when i play video games, i just want to play, and i deifnitely have the most fun play n64, games like super smash brothers and mario kart are much better for this system then they are for any of the newer systems.

also, i will always prefer cartridges to CDs, its so much better to not have to deal with any loading, if you only have 5 minutes to spare, you can always flip on the N64 and play a quick game of whatever.

I'd love to find another Sega Megadrive, loved my last console many moons ago.

I've got three Sega Dreamcasts, with games such as Virtua Tennis etc.

And a slimline PS2, though i'm tempted to buy a PS3 for myself for Christmas.

this is the new one.

- SD Slot
- Internal storage space

- Just ONE Touch Screen (Same as DS/Lite)
- Built in web browser
- "DS Ware" to be available for purchase (including free apps/games like the Apple App store)

The PS3 is the best on the market for consoles and will always beat the X Box, but if your computer is powerful enough, "unfortunately mine is'nt" the graphics are superb. Still, i hate the way people mock the likes of the commodore 64 etc, if it was'nt for these little beauty's we would not have the technology of today.

I'm not mocking (assuming you meant my post), I had one when I was about 6 and effin loved it :D

The best had to be the Mega Drive/Genesis. I just loved the games for it. So many good memories. The older PC ( you know, the 486 DX-2 66's and P100's era)games get a mention too, like Descent, Terminal Velocity, Doom Megalomania, Civ, Populous etc etc

No mate, my post was not aimed towards anyone on here but people i have known over the years who criticised the old systems.

My PC.

By the way, anyone on here old enough to have owned an old Apple IIe or IIc in the mid to late eighties? If so, did you do any gaming on it?
