I think he loved the club but ultimately didn't know how to or have the capabilities to make the club successful. His hiring of Moyes was probably the greatest thing he could have done for the club and with hindsight Moshiri should have listened and hired Moyes a second time around as per Bills recommendation. It'll be interesting to see how the club fares without his influence now, for better or worse. RIP Bill.
 
Regardless of my, or anyone else's feelings about the man, it saddens me that his last chance to sit in the crowd at Goodison was filled with anger and he never got to see us at in our new home. It's sad he struggled on in his role at the club through ill health.

I hope our new stadium, which he was reportedly a big part of, can go some way to bringing the club the success it never achieved under him as owner or Chairman.

That would be a fitting tribute.
