Great game this, to be fair.
Still got a bit of a soft spot for Blackpool after their year in the prem and the crap those fans put up with with the Oystens.

Wish them well.

I do too bud they were brilliant in the prem and deffo should have stayed up that year,Coleman did great there too and Ellis is really flourishing there ,I hope they get up to the championship they have a real good chance

Personally I would give him a contract extension and keep him with the first team. DCL is first choice and Richarlison 2nd choice as central striker. If we keep Simms as 3rd choice and put him on the bench he can get opportunities from there.

...I suppose much depends on plans to bring a back-up striker & whether the club has already decided to let Simms go. If they haven’t, then I tend to agree with keeping him involved rather than send him on another loan.

If we loan him out again we just waste time. This is why I hope we get that Conference League. It might give us opportunities to give him and Gordon game time with a decent level of opposition. With how he's played If we sell him this summer we could get a reasonable fee.

Be foolish not to send him out again especially if Blackpool go up, be a proper test for him instead of sticking around our u23s for another season

The lads doing great in Div 1 and that’s fantastic but that doesn’t mean we should just throw him into the first team, that could damage him far more because he won’t be playing week in week out. I’d much rather see him in the championship next season, hopefully still with Blackpool. That’ll be a much better test of his skills.

What the first team needs is proven quality added to the squad, hopefully in the form of pacey wingers! Would definitely have Simms on pre-season with the first team though but don’t waste his time not playing in the league next year.

....not sure I’d call it foolish. Personally, I wouldn’t send him on another loan.

We need to make decisions on these youngsters, too often we keep 20+ year olds on contracts for too long sending them out on loan after loan. i assume the club had little intention of keeping him but his form might have muddied the waters.

Keep him here as back-up or move him on with sell-on and/or buy-back clause.

I find your: he’s either good enough now or he’ll never be good enough black/white stance really bizarre.

...that’s the la, la, land assumption that he does really well with another loan.

Blackpool might well struggle next season, Simms might struggle. Managers get sacked, atmosphere might turn.

....Brands has said the squad was too big. Uncertainty over a number of youngsters would mean you give them all new deals. That’s why I say decisions have to be made.

A decision might well have been made about Simms, but if we are to keep him it should be to utilise him.

Well doubt he’s ready for the big boy league atm, Big jump from league one to prem.

....i think Greenwood at United is 10 months younger than him. DCL wasn’t ready for the PL when he started out but he was involved.

Personally, I think Simms will be transferred but if he’s not then he needs to be training at USMFF and involved in first team squads.
