Thinking about going to Blackpool in October. Anybody been recently? The missus couldnt get any time off in the Summer and a bit skint, so thinking about just going away somewhere fairly cheap for a day or 2. I know you can get wristbands, but are they worth the money do you think?

Any other cheap little break ideas would be welcome, dont mind a travel. But looking for cheapness and quality fun for the little bundles of bratness.

put some of those ice blocks for cool boxes in your inside pockets, couple of cycles in the local car wash and hey presto, just as cold , just as wet and saved on the wristbands. if you can find some drunken scotsmen to beat you up and grab your mrs by the chests then it really will be an authentic experience.

i'm goin' well wrapped on tuesday, october will be iceberg time.

We went to Cala Gran a couple of years ago for £69 for 4 of us for 4 nights, which was pretty cheap (Altham travel I think) or there's a paper (spit) that do £9.50 breaks there
