Blues Priced Out Of Fernandes Deal?

Everton have seemed to all but give up on bringing Manuel Fernandes to Goodison Park.

Fernandes who joined in January on a loan deal until the end of the season was said to have welcomed any sort of permanent transfer to the blues.

But it looks like Moyes has given up on the Portuguese midfielder after Benfica slapped a 12 million fee on the talented midfielder.

Only time will tell if Moyes will stump up the 12 million, although it looks highly doubtful, although many fans feel that signing Manuel in the summer is the top priority in the transfer window.

This is the thing isn't it. I look at newsnow frequently and I've lost count the amount of transfer activity supposedly going on at Everton. But I do know that the amount of speculation that has been backed up by a quote or too, is very few and far between.

Its wrong and it shouldn't happen.

If someone said in the paper that such in such is gay, but have no source, no quote - nothing to back it up, there would be a law suit in the offering.

But with football it seems its fair game to talk [Poor language removed] and spout lies just to sell papers.
