All media outlets?

File this one away under "bollocks".
what, you think they made it up? this isn't a report from an anonymous onliner at mailonline. this is from Matt Lawton their chief football reporter and has just won Sports Journalist of the Year. As sources go, its' pretty good.

I still don't think that's fair. It was a freak first season, but you can't say the second two seasons are his fault and then not credit him for the first season.

Walker, smith, Kendall and even motes second season almost took us down are seriously much worse than finishing 11th twice

The difference was Martinez had inherited a top 6 squad with a net spend of £15m per season.

How long was RM's initial contract in 2013, was it 3 years? So, just one year in doing his job very well on good terms he was rewarded by a new vastly improved 5 year deal. And because Bill was still gushing with the "he's an incredible guy" stuff, RM's legal team were allowed to dictate the clauses and the club rolled over and had its tummy tickled.

Is that too harsh or is it true?

Was on a four year deal initially.

Matt Lawton was used by Moshiri/Moshiri's people to announce his intent to buy a stake in the club. Moshiri has had a terrible media week. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognise the calling in of a favour here.

Deflect, deflect, deflect...

No denial from either party Dave.
Why would they even bother acknowledging it? If both manager and club are bound by confidentiality clauses to even deny it would hand out some form of clue and follow up interest in the media to find out what exactly the figure is.

It's a private matter and should stay that way. All figures are speculative.

It's just that on the Moshiri/White incident you said this ;)

Have EFC denied that Jim White story yet?

If not, it's absolutely true.

And he improved it, which was good. Then he broke it which was bad. Then he got sacked which was fair based on results and general apparent atmosphere in the dressing room.

Still doesn't make him the worst manager or in the same bracket as the iitgers. 2 semis which we threw away as well.

Notes inherited the champions and finished 6th I ymthink? Likewise he wasn't United worst ever manager. I think he actually did a better job the lvg

Ha ha. But not exactly a similar situation.

The sourced words of our owner were in the public domain and required denial. The Mail story carries nothing but fluff and hearsay and requires no response.
