Player Valuation: Free Transfer
Once again... Yep! another frustating night in europe for Everton....ok we were obviously missing our few creatives ..Mikel, Tommy, pienaar etc...but most of our players werent at the races...for example 'Baka-yakubu' - his first touch was appalling! Hibbert is lower division class & McFadden is a hot headed waste of space.
The Mentalists zipped the ball around & made our passing look amateurish even though were had the lions share of possesion...lets face it we aint gonna score by Hibbert constantly hoofing the ball into the area...Dunc's gone lads!!!
Aj looks totally devoid of confidence & ideas.
All in all, this feels like a poor defeat...which i asume it will be after the away leg unless we miraculously improve.
One more note...the ref was a utter prick.

What born unlucky? I was there and we played awful... the midfield was non existant... they played better than us with 9/10 men! Hibbert was shocking, just hoofing the ball up, but I think thats because there was no one in midfield to pass it up too... and I have no idea why Moyes didnt play jagielka from the start!

I have been going to Goodison all my life and I have never been so flustrated with the team... Medalist, if they were any better, could have put 3 past us on that night, we need to learn a few lessons from Spurs when it comes to Europe, well we are out of the UEFA cup already!

This is just another proof of how thin our squad is... even though it's the best squad we've had in many, many years it's still too thin. We need numbers... and to place Hibbert on the bench or the stand.

Quite. Unfortunately it had nothing to do with bad luck and everything to do with not being good enough. We need to make big improvements for the second leg.

Yes... but I dont think its going to happen to be totally honest with you, Moyes hasn't even accknowledge how bad we played, and the fact that he was reliant on the pens to give us the win, it shouldnt have come down to the pens at all!! We should have comfortably won it...

As for the fiasco outside the ground with the tickets, dont get me started on that...
