Not expecting miracles with this thread but here goes...

Does anyone play? There are loads of pub leagues.

Basically, after Covid meant our football team had to stop playing we started playing boules in our local park, the kids and dogs get to run around, it was generally sunny and beer is part of the rules.
Sunday afternoon and Thursday evening, get together, get battered and have a laugh. It is not, I repeat NOT like crown green bowls.

I've played a few games. Good excuse to neck some red wine with friends. I like the game. Had to stop playing in our back garden after my stupid head dog tried to stupid catch the stupid balls with his stupid teeth.

That was another avenue of pleasure closed to me.
