Boxing

No I fully get it mate - I understand the boxing element to it, it's just absolutely boring.

He's a great boxer - but that's solely down to his size. He's got the reach to keep fighters at bay, and strangely for his size doesn't seem to have heavy hands.

A prime Tyson gets inside that jab and Fury is done in 20 seconds.
Everyone has their favourites, everyone has their opinions, but all we can do is judge him by what he does. He's comfortably beaten anyone that's stood in front of him. That surely makes him the greatest of his era and worthy of being in the discussion?

Usyk is the only one who poses questions for fury .

Depends what Joshua you get. If you get the last few fights, playing it safe Joshua, then Fury beats him. If you get the fighter Joshua, he’s got all the attributes and skills to beat Fury. The problem that Joshua will have is similar to Whyte, he will be gassing by the end of the 4th.

It's does mate, but what it also does is highlight the quality of the era.

I think the emergence of UFC has dulled the quality of the sport personally.

He’s beaten one all time great in Klitschko. In my opinion, you can’t be an all time great til you’ve fought everyone in your era. You don’t even have to beat them, but you need to fight them. Wilder isn’t an all time great and neither is Whyte. His best and biggest win to date, is Klitschko.

Joshua hasnt got the arse to go for it mate . Fury does similar to what he done tonight. Part of that is down to amateur pedigree. fury has been doing this since he was a kid , Joshua walked into a gym Aged 18. only usyk could touch him IMO

Probably but he still has to has to actually do it to get that perfect legacy imo, cant be arsed with him retiring before fighting him. I guess if AJ gets smashed by Uysk again then it won't really matter provided he fights Uysk.
The legacy argument is null and void after him losing twice , the only thing left to do is usyk for fury , beating AJ is nothing more than a bonus

Great comment, it’s easy to dismantle Joshua right now, after coming off a loss, but in boxing, fans are very fickle, the ones cheering on Fury now, we’re the ones who bought into the hype around Joshua and hated Fury. It’s swings and round abouts.

I rate Fury, but I rate Whyte, too, and I'm slightly surprised at what easy work Fury made of that.

You can only beat what's in front of you but I think Fury would give anyone in any era plenty to think about. He's a big, awkward bugger and a really intelligent boxer, he's very quick to pick up on what his opponent is about and quickly adjusts to deal with it. Quick and great feet given his size, too.

Hope he doesn't retire, as he's quite capable of unifying the belts IMO.

Would like to see him fight Usyk, who I love watching fight.

I don't think Joshua gives him too much bother.

Absolutely. These heavyweights are giants, absolute giants. The problem in this era is, you’ve got giants, then massive men who are 6’3/6’4 weighing 18/19stone. It’s two divisions in one in a way.
It's hard to say , look at any era other than Say the Ali , fazier, times there where a lot of good fighters at one time.
A Lot of great boxers in this weight really didn't have many to stand out against Larry Holmes for instance in his prime,
even maciano , only had about 4 decent names on his list. Walcott, Moore, Lewis, Charles and 3 of them were very late 30's when he fought them other one was 33 and a light heavy in reality.
Fury can retire knowing he is the best of his time.
He is that big a lot of former greats would get near him
Aj might get him out of retirement for the money mind you?

He still is a very smart and talented boxer.
Best of his era without a doubt. The best heavyweight since 2000.

Comparing eras is difficult. I don't think somebody of Fury's size could really cope with fighting 5-6 times a year as a champion/contender like they did back in the seventies.
We'll know if Fury truly is an all time great when we're still talking about him in 2040...

It’s a difference of opinions and I think Fury beats Joshua(always believe he beats Joshua), just because of the footwork and his engine. But Joshua has got the tools and attributes to beat Fury. See the problem with Joshua, his two losses have come to fighters who are a nightmare for him stylistically, short, fast hands and south paws. Joshua had the same thing happen to him that’s happened to Mike Tyson, he’s lost his invincibility and people ain’t scared of him. Fury vs Joshua is a great great fight. They clash perfectly style wise.

People are quick to dismantle Joshua and what he’s done for the sport. Without Joshua, the isn’t a fight at Wembley tonight.

Tyson is a brilliant fighter with a special story. If that's the end he goes down as the best heavyweight of this generation.

Would love to see him against Usyk but I completely get why he's retiring. 6 kids, soon to be 7 and he's got enough money to last 3 or 4 lifetimes.

Yes but he's beaten everyone that's got in the ring with him.
Thats all he can do.
The rest is just opinion.

Fury is without doubt the greatest of his era. He can only beat what is put in front of him. Only Usyk has the boxing skills but not the size to challenge him. Joshua and Wilder rely too much on their punching power rather than their skills. Lennox Lewis v Fury both in their prime would be some fight. Lewis beat all the men he ever faced (he beat both the men he beat him in the ring in rematches).
