Manchester United keeping tabs on Brendan Galloway as Everton face fight to keep hold of young defender

The 19-year-old has shone in Leighton Baines' absence at Goodison Park and with Luke Shaw out injured, United could make a move in January

Brendan Galloway's impressive form for Everton has been noticed by Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal and his staff have been alerted by Galloway’s emergence at Goodison Park, where he has established himself at left-back during Leighton Baines’ continuing injury problems.

Van Gaal is without Luke Shaw for the season and could make a move for Galloway in the January transfer window.

Galloway is just 19 and signed a five-year deal with Everton when he moved from MK Dons in the summer of 2014.

Three weeks’ ago, Martinez said Galloway would be given improved terms after his excellent start to the season.

But up-and-coming English talent is much in demand and Everton already face a fight to keep hold of Galloway.

Why do we 'face a fight'?

He's 19, played about 6 first team games and has 4 years left on his contract.

It's as if the whole John Stones thing never happened and that we didn't turn down 3 bids for him.

Newspapers really do chat utter garbage, intent on trying to portray Everton as some sort of lesser club that's easy to cherry pick players from. The reality is the complete opposite, proven time & again over the past few years.

The Mirror are ridiculous! He's doing well, one for the future, has 4 years left on his contract, we're not desperate for money and we only just told Jose to p off over a similar thing a couple of months ago...

They're just lazy and going for max clickbait. "Larry, pick any player who's playing well at a club who finished below sixth last year and link them with Man U, the boss says not enough of our site traffic is sweaty teenage boys or fat uninteresting blokes."

Well we made to October without him being sold by the media so that's an achievement.

These beauts writing these articles, remember who they are and if you see them outside the stadium let them know how you feel.

We must have the best young talent in world football at this rate with the media getting rid of them all every month..
