Great win. Desperately needed. Defence were excellent - Branthwaite is so cool and is already a starter. Might have been a better test if Toney was playing - but the lad has everything. Thought Young played really well - shut down any threat. McNeil and Beto were great. Everyone did their job. They had Mee missing which hurt them but we absolutely dominated and could easily have scored 5 or 6. Forgotten how it feels to wake up on a Sunday with that winning buzz. COYBB.

I put Tarks as Motm for his solid defensive display, an assist and a goal. A great performance. Doucoure was a threat and was all over the pitch and Branthwaite had such a composed game for a young lad. Onana and Garner were excellent with McNeil getting back to his best. Overall a great team performance from back to front with Everton pressing from the front and shutting down channels forcing Brentford to long balls and intercepting many attempted passes. We played as a unit and it made Brentford look bad

Dyche will inevitably just stick with this same side for the foreseeable now.. but in reality he really should be dropping Young & Gueye, bringing Patterson in and moving Garner back into CM, whilst introducing Harrison at RW..
Brentford would have been in numerous times if it wasn't for Youngs game reading. Paterson isn't there 'yet' with that side of the game.

I hope not, well no, that's not strictly true, he picked a 'horse' for a 'course'...but a horse (think formation) that does well at Aintree (Brentford) might not go too well at Ascot (Goodison)

tbf, Dyche is not overburdened with gamechangers (in a good way) on the bench.

We might have to count ourselves lucky if Dyche can get a Plan 'B' for home games to go with his Plan 'A' for away games...and thus, manage to take enough points from teams in 7th 8th or 9th down to 20th and try and get in the faces of the top 6 and see what we get

Gonna be breaking out like dad's army
Absolute rubbish; keeps talking about balance and then he picks this team.

Anti football central midfield

I’ve pretty much made my mind up. He doesn’t help himself. He’s got to go. 6 points from the next 3 or that’s it.

Take a team that were negative and atrocious at home against Arsenal, replace the lad who has been scoring goals and expect them to do better away.

Honestly, this manager is absolutely terrible. Worse than Lampard at this point.

Negative line up, hoping for a draw. Never works.

Yeah, terrible result with that line up.

lol

Predictable win... And so it should be.

Much of what The duke does ain't pretty but he is effective. Easy man of the match.

Garner honourable second when in the middle. Captain Tarkoski put in a performance of captains.

No more mistakes at the back.
