I do find it sad that everyone ignores the fact that we were the only team to break up the big 4 monopoly on the champions league places in the 00s which was a massive achievement. Been to a cup final as well. Not as if it’s all been total doom and gloom since 1995, other clubs have had it a lot worse than us

I've finally resigned myself to the fact that we will get relegated this year, and part of me is relieved. I think it may actually be a good thing. Get rid of all the dead wood. Break the tension that has hung over our collective heads for the last 30 years, and start again, build back with a proper identity.

I felt very uneasy the moment we started counting our top flight games before the match a few years ago, bringing attention to something that didn't need advertising. Basically asking for it as the old non woke saying goes. On top of this, there's also the entitlement of our fans, which could do with a reality check.

2 of our best ever sides have been created in the aftermath of being relegated and coming back.

I just think we have lost our way for so long, and become this bloated laughing stock, an after thought.

And if the worst happens, and it ruins us financially, so be it. I'm tired of it anyway and this will provide me and others with a legitimate escape.

Bring it on.
Anyone thinking our relegation will be the end of our troubles and we will immediately bounce back ala Newcastle and Villa is kidding themselves.

We are more likely heading for a Leeds/Sunderland/Man City style downfall. We have no money, we will have even less post relegation, out best players will leave and all the crap that got us to this position in the first place will still be here.

It's all relative. I am sure I read a while back somewhere that Everton are the only one of the 92 clubs to have not won at least one trophy or promotion since 2000, that means supporting Everton has officially the fewest good times of any club for anyone under the age of 22.

Mate, that was 37 years ago. Get over it, it doesnt do any good
I am not apportioning blame it's just a fact that we had just won the league with a young team with a young manager that had the opportunity to go after the biggest prize snatched away from us because of events that had nothing to do with us.

Truth is no one knows how it goes.

Those who categorically state it'll be boss or the end of us are both just making blind assumption.

EFC could sell DCL to arsenal for £50 million covering the TV deal plug, keep Richarlison, sell a Pickford + Mina for £40-50 million combined - reinvest in some young highly rated Championship players whilst trimming the wage budget by millions with James, Digne, Delph, Tosun, Siggurdsson and possibly a few more like Gbamin, Gomes etc out of contract/booted and waltz back up with Kenwright chased and a long term plan / younger team in place.

Or we could crash and burn and become Sunderland.

Hence why I wouldn't lose sleep over it - what will be will be.

We're not down yet but I genuinely fear this is it, this year and it's making me feel sick. There are NO plusses to going down. NO bright side. Anyone who thinks differently is misguided.

If we do go down, Everton will still exist, most of us will still be here, I'll still be over for a few matches, the real fans will be there every week and we'll still moan and fight..... But let's not pretend there's any good in it!

This is for the match going Evertonians. If you are an Everton that,we are toxic, fold the club self loathing Evertonian this isnt for you.A jokes a joke but its become a lifestyle for some.(you lot love it dont you)We are in trouble. We've been here before and we have got through it. After the last 2 results the panic has started. This is normal. You,me all of us have felt it and you know the reasons for it. We cant let it set in. We have to deal with it.I dont want to have been a supporter who watched us get relegated. We the supporters are the ones who will suffer it. Just think of one mouthy kopite you know and what it would be like. Think of your kids in school and what it would be like for them. We would never live it down. Coffins down County Road **** that. Now we as supporters are here again.I know you dont want to hear it but we have to bite our lip again.Show patience to players even when you dont want to.Shout for everything.Dont give them any excuse. Drive those players on and on.Those who are not natural shouters or singers we need your voices.People who sit in the upper gwladys and upper bullens stamp your feet on the wooden floors.Make a noise that will be heared across the city from newcastle to the end of the season and together we will beat this.I will be there like you a voice amongst the 40,000. Look to the person either side of you and know you are amongst fellow Evertonians and everything that means and know you have blue blood pumping through your hearts.

I would have have posted fairly regularly over the last number of years we have been lucky not to be dragged into a relegation scrap. I thought around November time it would occur this season as it has been coming Dont want to say told you so but I am telling you this.??

100%.Relegation would be a complete disaster for this club. The idea that we could do a rebuild and come back up in the space of a year or 2 is nowhere written in stone. It is just as easy slip down the championship to lower leagues. Dont make me tell you I told you so but I am completely dumbfounded how anyone would think there is a positive side to relegation
