Tim Cahill has been named in the Australia squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifier.
The Socceroos take on Qatar in Melbourne on Febraury 6 in what will be Pim Verbeek’s first competitive match in charge of Australia following the departure of Graham Arnold.
The Blues midfielder is part of a 39-strong squad which incorporates a blend of youth and experience.
The qualifying match is sandwiched in between the trip to Blackburn Rovers on February 2 and the home game against Reading on February 9.
