Im Sooooooo pissed.!!!!!

Iv just renued my car tax, an it's cost a bomb.

As i dont start my new job till Nov 2nd i could'nt afford to get a full year. So i went for 6 months....

£104.......... ARE YOU F**KING JOKING..!!!!!

Whats all that about!!!! An are the roads any better.....NO Is there less congestion...NO

So tell me plesase, were does that money go.....?

well about £40 of your insurance goes towards paying for the damage caused by uninsured drivers.
if they taxed all the foreign trucks that jam up the motorways, and on weekends use it as a shortcut cos they cant go on european roads, and made them either buy diesel here or implement a mileage tax then maybe they would drop it for us. more likely though that they will do that and still put road tax up.

Six months, I would be lucky if my heap lasted me any longer!

Depends on your car - some new ones only cost £35ish for a year.

btw my 4 ltr cost the same as sharpy's and indeed mrs bog's 1.6 pug, they want us all to have a car that was 1st registered after about 2002, as they have the emmissions figs for those so can hike the tax up.

Hitting haulage means upping the cost of goods. Because haulage companies wont eat it, and retailers wont eat it. I'm with you all the way on uninsured drivers, maybe you should write your MP.

never realised it was so expensive I have been exempt from road tax and tunnel tolls for years now ,but agree its scandalous

a lot of drivers are hauling straight through to save driving through europe to scandinavia, and as i say, come the weekend they cant drive on the continent so head for here so as not to have to park up.

well i got to do my tv tax today!! what bollox that is! so i thought this thread is simaler!

usally pay it in full but looked in to paying it in installments this year! ha!

weekly you have to pay 6 months in advance! and quaterly you get charged £1.25 a quater for being in arrears!!!

so why dont i get a £1.25 disscount if i pay six months in advance?

bollox the lot of it!

and if i do pay weekly to miss the charge all my life then croke it who gets my 6 months ive paid i wonder!
