Another wet day in Cumbria. Tomorrow isn't forecast to be quite as bad but Friday is looking like trouble. Rain and wind through the day, turning to snow and ice at night...

Free Park & Ride system in service on Sunday

Carlisle United Football Club will be operating a FREE Park and Ride service on Sunday to help supporters of both clubs as the main car parks at the stadium remain out of action following the recent flooding events.

Sales and Marketing Director Phil King said: “We have to go on record with a thank you to H&H Auctioneers and Reays for helping us to provide this free service.

“H&H are allowing us to use their land for coach parking and have also opened up the car park opposite the Shepherd’s Inn so that we can host a vital match day Park and Ride service. The car parking area can hold approximately 1,000 cars and is an excellent facility for us to be able to use.

“Reays are supplying a shuttle bus service between the car park and the stadium, again free of charge, which will help us to get fans to and from the game in good time on the day.”

The first shuttle bus will run from the Rosehill car park at 10.30am and will continue until kick off on the day. Stewards will be on hand to assist with parking and the car parking area will be clearly signed to show entry and exit routes.

A shuttle bus service will run from Brunton Park to the Rosehill car park after full time until 4.30pm.

Please note – car parking is not available at the stadium on the day. Blue Badge holders should contact the club on 01228 526 237 if they have any concerns.
