Its world cup year mate, they are not "downing tools". They may not be very good but they are not doing it on purpose.

I'm not saying they have currently, a bit too early to down tools on the new manager. Players however do down tools when miffed at things, they do do it on purpose, you are wrong.

Window is open, that’s our only way out of this mess.

Beni will be a good option if fit. Our current predicament requires someone who just needs to run a lot more than those senior clowns, and we will see huge change in the way we perform. That simple.

Agree. The central midfield options are so bad it wouldn't take much at all to improve them.

So they are willing to miss out on moves to big(ger) clubs, big(ger) money, hero status and international tournaments? Why exactly? And whom?

I think we need to be careful not to lump all the players in together in this mess. In truth we don't even really know which players are the troublemakers, if there are any.
There will be plenty of players who see the opportunity of playing under CA as the chance of a lifetime and are determined to make the most of it. I would expect the younger players in particular may feel this way.

I am as guilty as everybody else in tending to blame those who are playing particularly badly as being the trouble makers also.
It will take time for us to see and believe who has knuckled down. I hope that most of them do.

... but there's a few who seem so beyond the pale at the moment that it might not be a bad thing to just get shut of them as soon as is possible. I'm thinking of the iceberg-titanic midfield of Siggurdson and Schneiderlin here. Slow, lazy, indolent, malignant characters sucking too much resource from the club will be a hard to shift perception of them. So hard that it might be better to just to get rid of their toxic prescence.

Where you on holiday for the Lpool game on sunday? `The chance of a lifetime...determined to make the most of it'.

I'm not making a list,it's endless. Player power rules these days, not the club like it used to be. If a player wants out he will down tools(or whatever simile you want to call it).

I find it bizarre that you don't think this goes on. Player gets refused transfer...downs tools(Except Gana). Players can't get moves because wages are too high but doesn't want to play(Gareth Bale anybody). It happens. You're daft if you think players aren't egocentric narcissists.

We are talking about Everton here mate, yet you cannot mention one player who has "downed tools" and supposedly got rid of all 4 of our last manages. The only one you mention is Gana who didnt down tools. Players lose form all the time (Gylf/schneids), but I am yet to hear one good example of a blue downing tools in or why for that matter, they have too much to lose.

Ok mate, you know best. All players give 100% all the time. Despite all the books I've read by former players/managers saying exactly the opposite. I said I wasn't going to make a list, I did mention Bale, I put Gana didn't down tools after we refused a move because it doesn't happen very often, jesus.

Who do you think holds the cards these daysPlayers/agents or Club? I'll give you a clue, it's not the Club.

Was only asking for examples at everton mate, considering your previous post that is not too much to request.

See Chelsea during Jose's second stint. A classic example of players effectively 'downing tools'
To say it doesn't happen is a ridiculous comment

I've answered you, I said I am not making a list as it's a long one, football has been going on a long time. I think the fact you don't think players do underhanded things when they're unhappy a bit mental.

Are you saying yes or no that you don't believe players stop working as hard/don't train as hard/have an attitude etc etc etc when they are peed off over something?

I'd read some books on football if you think the answer is no.

You are getting a bit excited here. This all stems from various posters saying that our players had got the last 4 managers sacked by downing tools, nothing to do with Chelsea or Gareth Bale. I disagreed with them as I cannot think of one EVERTON player who has done this or why they would do so, I asked for examples, none were given. You seem to be confusing NOT VERY GOOD/OUT OF FORM FOOTBALLER with DOWNING TOOLS TO GET THE MANAGER SACKED.
