Win is a win. If ref/VAR weren't trying to give a handy to brighton at every available opportunity, the game wouldn't have been so close at the end and he wouldn't have had to make ultra defensive subs to protect the 1 goal lead.

Cannot ask for any more than that considering some of the players he is working with.

Bernard was knackered. Made sense to swap a more defensive player in I thought. I really like his game management. Worlds apart from Silva's 'chuck all the forwards on.'

not bad is it really considering our midfield is absolute garbo and he's using a team made up of about 4 different managers, Not sure why people still raise questions on his decisions i.e subs/setup.

We can't not be able to rely on our defence to see games out. I think the substitutions were made out of tactical principle. As poor as we are defensively we will improve under Ancelotti, who will probably bring in new players as well. He won't abandon what he knows about defending a lead because the team isn't perfect yet. He's not that short term.
