It would be interesting to see how many players Ancelotti has in the 'keep' column.

My bet is that hes asking Brands to try and move on most of the squad.

Holgate Digne Gordon Gomes Gbamin Richarlison Kean (I reckon Ancelotti will fancy developing him)

I think all the others would be in the ‘coild leave if a decent bid came in’ pile.

I can see him going if the moneys is not there with that current squad....just walking away.....

We’ll end up with someone like Sean Dyche, If he goes, you know because if a world class manager like Ancelotti can’t motivate this team of flops then only someone in the mould of Dyche can be the inspiration they all needlol

He’s been here less than 6 months, hasn’t even got his feet under the table properly, with a group of weak untalented money grabbers, who were majorly underperforming, none of whom are his players, who are used to playing in 4-2-3-1 system, which clearly wasn’t working under previous manager Silva. He’s come in and tried to change it for us and get the best out of what he has. Using Liverpool and Arsenal as an example is hardly anything to beat Ancelotti with, both of them have a decent squads with some fantastic players and already had a decent style of football. Also both managers, even Arteta in the January transfer window were given funds to improve their squads and sign the players they wanted to make their team their own.

I think if you’re expecting a lot more from Ancelotti in terms of playing style in the space of 6 months with a group of players that 1) aren’t even good enough and 2) aren’t even his and don’t fit into his usual style system then you’re a bit deluded. It only happens in football manager and FIFA that type of stuff.

6 months is a lot of time. The average time is 1.8 years in PL. I do not expect our game to suddenly flow, but that I see hints that there is a plan behind what we are trying to do. But of course CA needs more time, and I completely agree with that, but there is little identity in the team so far. Except for catenaccio.

Hardly mate, it’s not like he’s took over just an underperforming team of talented players. He’s took on a big mess of individuals who have no desire and none or very limited talent. There literally only is so much he can do as a manager. Most of the performances of late have been down completely to work rate and commitment and not one of them have shown any sign of that, Richarlison aside. Also look at the players he has at his disposal? How can any team function correctly with a midfield pairing of Tom Davies and Gylfi Sigurdsson? Seriously. Even if he had a style of play, there’s only so much he could do with this crop.

At the end of the day it’s like one of our own players Coleman has just pointed out. We can criticise managers and hire and fire them for not getting it correct all the time tactically but ultimately if you’re not committed and don’t want to put in the effort on the pitch and you can’t or don’t want to be motivated then the blame ultimately lies within the players themselves. With this current crock we are screwed. They don’t want it. They want their pay cheques that’s it.
Everything I'm saying at the moment is tempered by the fact that we are in a phoney competition due to these exceptional circumstances. I fully appreciate there is no appetite from the players to stretch themselves and put themselves in harms way due to the fact there's nothing riding on the games.
But I have no confidence at the moment that we'll see any noticeable improvement next term. This is what we've seen for time immerorably. Get ourselves up for one game then back to bed for the next three. I'm sick of it.

Imagine having managed some of the worlds best footballers, and finding yourself standing on the sidelines watching Gylfi watch on as his man walks past him yet again and Tom Davies constantly finding an opposition shirt when one of our players is standing in space 10 yards directly in front of him.

The pass off the field in our left back position from Davies was one of the funniest everton related things I have ever seen. I wonder if Carlo laughed.
