When he parted ways with Napoli it was said he planned to have an extended stay in Canada with his wife.

He could've done that and known that within the next 18 months a Champions League team from one of the top league's in Europe would've come calling and paid him good money.

He chose to come to Everton. A team that has for the most part underperformed for 30 years. He's an intelligent man who's already earned all the money he'll ever need. I don't believe he would've joined us if he didn't believe he'd be given a genuine opportunity to make us a top side. That gives me hope.

He's said he doesn't need the money.

He's a football man. Wants to do the best here.

End of season mate, some players take pride in giving 100% regardless of whether there is sometihng to play for, That's just in their DNA. Others dont care, soon as there is nothing to play for they just swan around. Peter Crouch said in his podcast i think, stoke had basically survived, last game or two of the season and while they went to try and win, admitted that ultimately he and others were distracted by holidays.

It is what it is, hopefully it will be the last game for the majority of these players soon enough

The infuriating thing with that is the team could have had Europe had they even a semblance of personal or professional pride. Instead, we just got absolutely bummed by a team that came up from the Championship last year.

I don't think I believe the statement made recently about Ancelotti not having to sell to buy. If he has been told by the board that he needs to sell to buy, then I wouldn't expect him to tell the media that that's the case. With the amount of money that's been spunked on dross, it seems clear to me that he does need to sell to buy.

Im not questioning Ancelotti. I just think he should be judged on what he delivers for Everton. Not what he’s done previously. These are the same performances that got silva the sack. For me player recruitment here is the main issue. And that’s down to two men in the last four years.

The reality is that, much like every season since Unnnnnnnnnsy was here, the players at this club have done *just* enough to avoid getting dragged into the deepest poo-poo, but never *quite* enough to end up in those pesky early Europa League rounds that would curtail their holiday. The fella has won the lot yet as soon as he is Everton manager you have idiots questioning him. Questioning his style , his motivation , player choice etc. Yeah do you think AC Milan questioned his choice to league and champions League titles? Real Madrid? Bayern Munich in his first year there? Or were they satisfied he won them the big ones when asked of him?

It's a joke now. Every young player is written off based on cameos at the end of games just because they have a blue shirt. We question the manager even when they are one of the best in the world. We question the dof and ignore the one who cake before him as if he didn't load the club with debt we cannot shift.

How can anyone call the team crap and then question ancelotti? He has been here for 4 months essentially footballing wise. He didn't lose the cup Derby , the two cowards in the middle who hid for 45 minutes cost us it. He didn't lose the game today , the lack of creativity / midfield and passion lost us the game. You all want instant success yet even the gobsite across the park took 4 YEARS to get anywhere including a crap finish when he inherited the squad.

How about as a fan base we just stop moaning eh? List all the players you think aren't good enough and swap them for a ancelotti player over the next 4 years. Do you really think we will still be this crap? Or do you think our world class manager may turn us into a side that has a bit of pride?

What's this got to do with everyone realising it isn't Ancelotti 's fault and it is the likes of Pickford and Davies' fault please?
